Our Story

Well haiii!

We're the Hillier crew - Mum (Marnie), Dad (Steve) and our crazy/amazing crew of 4 boys; River, Mack, Moby & baby Raffy (who's not such a baby anymore!!)

We've spent the last 7 years living at NZ's best beach, Waipu Cove in Northland NZ and heading out to jump in the ocean, boogie boarding, playing in the estuary and just being out in the fresh air has literally been a life-saver & the biggest joy of time as a young family.

But there was always one aspect that brought the fun down - sun safety! As mum, Marnie, is a stickler for it after having her first basal-cell carcinoma (skin cancer) cut out at age 23 and several since that (including one right by her eye!)!

The sunscreen battles each day became the bane of Marnie & Steve's lives but they weren't about to give up on keeping their boys sun-safe! They knew there HAD to be a better way!

And so, as every Kiwi with that good old DIY mentality does - they decided to take matters into their own create a full-coverage kids swimwear brand making sun smart togs that kids would actually WANT to wear!

These long-sleeve, long-leg swimsuits - along with the matching swim hats - have literally changed our lives! We feel like they've given our family back the golden days of carefree beach adventures, allowing kids to be kids - but without the sunburn & risk that comes from our crazily high UV levels in this part of the world.

We are so stoked to keep dreaming up new funky designs for our swimsuits & getting the message out there that sun safety doesn't have to be stressful (or look naff!)
